Luck of the Irish #9  Held March 15-17, 1985 at Harley Hotel  Highlights -Gerry LaPlante won the cribbage tournament and Ray Short won the horseshoe tournament. George Miller of Southington, Connecticut traveled the farthest to attend.  On Saturday night George Trenn presented a program on Old Cincinnati breweries.    A cake was served celebrating Hudepohl's 100th anniversary.

 

 

January: Chapter members donated some of their collections to be displayed at the Hudepohl Brewery to help celebrate Hudepohl's 100th anniversary.

February-An article appeared in the Cincinnati Enquirer about Chapter President Mary White and the 50th birthday of the beer can.

Luck of the Irish #10  Held March 14-16, 1986 at  Harley Hotel  Highlights - Fred McCabe won the cribbage tournament & Kit Hall won the horseshoe tournament. Dave Thomas from Wilkes Barre PA won for coming the farthest. Bob Winberg present a program on the Cincinnati Breweries on Saturday Night. This was the last year Hudepohl sponsored Friday night hospitality.

In 1986 the chapter newsletter changed from being published every other month to a quarterly publication.

Both the 6/7 and the 8/9 shows were rained out causing the chapter to schedule only indoor shows from this point forward.
 

Luck of the Irish #11  Held March 20-22, 1987 at Harley Hotel  Highlights-Ralph Collins won the cribbage tournament and Kit Hall won the horseshoe tournament. Former board member Dave Hergott from North Carolina traveled the farthest. Dave Heidrich, project director of the new Oldenberg Brewery presented a program on Saturday night.

In the April, May, June 1987 edition of the chapter newsletter editor Bill Luers announced that he was stepping down after holding the position since 1983. Dave Gausepohl took over as both chapter president and newsletter editor in October of 1987.

At the end of 1988, a vote of the chapter was taken to determine if the chapter functions should be buy, sell, trade. The response was 3 to 1 for trade only.

Luck of the Irish #14  Held March 16-18, 1990 at  Drawbridge/Oldenberg  Highlights - Bill Luers won the horseshoe tournament and Kit Hall won the cribbage tournament.

In 1990 the chapter after a third vote in as many years, elected by a 34-7 vote to make chapter functions buy, sell, trade eliminating a trade only policy which had been in effect since the chapter was first organized. The first show with buy, sell, trade was held at the Gailey VFW post on December 2, 1990.
